  1. I love her body of work and the concepts she is exploring. How our hair is related to our identity, beauty and racial legacy. I enjoy that she is investigating the significance of hair styles and what it means for not only separate cultures but society as a whole. My favorite quote from her which is speaking about how cultures appropriate hair styles from each other should be viewed in a positive light as it is an indicator of racial balance and equality.

  2. I love this! I think hair is an important issue in society because all that seems “acceptable” is the natural white persons straight smooth hair, but all natural hair is beautiful and its important we start teaching girls to love the hair they have even in a society that might be against them. It’s also cool that this is an artist from Ann Arbor Michigan!
